Police Agreement

Police and the SCAA signing a Memorandum of Understanding, 6th Nov. 2007

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Sudanese community and the Police of Greater Dandenong was signed on 6 Nov 2007.

This MOU outlines that the Sudanese Community Association of Australia committee will assist the youth through the police investigation process, including but limited to:

• Offender processing
• Court appearances
• Victim statements
• Referrals to appropriate support and representative agencies
• Development of communication between offender/victim’s family, police, and the courts
